Chosen Moment debuts at Sandown

Chosen Moment debuted yesterday in the Swettenham Stud Dash for Cash 2yo race at Sandown over 900m.

It was a nice surprise to see him racing before Christmas, and unfortunately the heavens opened up in the morning, and the track was extremely rain affected.

This made it harder for us to get a guage on his ability, and he was asked to go back to last in a 5 horse field, and make a run at them over the final 400m.

Dwayne Dunn was our rider, and he allowed Chosen Moment to pull out and make his run around the turn, with 400m to go.

Chosen Moment looked like he was about to make a charge at the leaders, but found the wetter track against him over the final 200m, and he was not pushed out over the last 100m.

Dwayne thinks he has ability, and would be allowed to show his ability once he gets over a distance of 1200m on a drier track.

We will try and target another race for him in the coming weeks.

We had a large contingent of owners at Sandwon yesterday who enjoyed the facilities of the owners room after the race.
