Soul Star was a dominate winner at Doomben on Wednesday, her second city win after 9 city placings, in what was her final career start.
After a frustrating prep in Sydney, Soul Star was a given a 6 week freshen up before giving her one final race start before retirement.
She retires with an ultra consistent record of 26 starts, 3 wins, 5 seconds and 4 thirds, and a total $178,935.
Soul Star now heads to the Magic Millions Broodmare Sale on the Gold Coast as Lot 77 to be sold on Monday 27 July. This is the largest Broodmare Sale in the Southern Hemisphere and she is likely to attract plenty of attention from breeders and bloodstock agents as she is from the succesful Sunlight family.
Soul Star now has an exciting future ahead of her as a broodmare, and we hope to see her progeny on the racetrack for years to come, maybe even in the Dream silks, if we are lucky!
