Provoker broke his maiden status in style at Doomben today, in a well overdue win after some encouraging placings.
Rory Hutchings got him into a lovely trailing position behind the speed today, and he was able to switch off and travelled kindly throughout.
He quickly ranged up to challenge in the early part of the straight and he was in no danger in the run to the line to win convincingly by 2.3 lengths on the line.
