About to Explode was a short priced favourite in the BM85 today at Eagle Farm.
He showed he deserved his favouritism by covering his rivals early in the straight and holding his margin strongly in the last 200m of the race.
His record at Eagle Farm over 1200m is excellent and with a strong 3rd up record, he did look very hard to beat on exposed form.
His win takes his rating up to 85, and he can build towards the Brisbane Winter Carnival in April.
