Open Minded wins Sprint Final

Open Minded dominated the Adapt Australia Summer Sprint Series Final at Moonee Valley tonight in a performance that showed he can adapt his racing style when needed.

From a wide barrier Open Minded he sat outside the leader Madam Superior who was going at a steady clip, until the 500m point when the pace started to increase and the pressure was put on before the turn.

Open Minded ranged up to the leader and took over at the top of the straight and put a good length break on the field, and held off all the challengers in the run to the post to win comfortably by 0.5 lengths strong enough to keep the field, a big effort giving all his rivals weight in the Sprint Final.

Damien Thornton again rode him perfectly and has developed a strong affinity with the 4yo gelding son of Jimmy Choux , now winning 6 races from his 11 starts.

He continues to lift the bar and we are sure there is more to come!
