SELFIE STEPS UP!

Self Indulgent took another big step up at Doomben today in the Open 3yo fillies Handicap over 1200m.

She was meeting 3yo fillies for the first time at 1200m for the the first time with new jockey Samantha Collett abroad.

Settling one out one back in the run, on a track that was rain affected, she started to make her run 3 wide around the bend into the straight and she took a few strides to get balanced on the shifty surface. In the last 200m she started to lengthen stride and make a big challenge towards the leaders and drove hard in the last 100m to surged to the lead to win strongly.

This was a big step for Selfie towards her grand final, the QTIS Jewel on 19 March.
